Minnesota @ Penn State Results (Saturday)

Nittany Lion reliever Ryan Ignas picked up the win and moved to 5-1 on the season after pitching 2.1 scoreless innings. Gopher reliever Tim Ryan recieved the loss and moved to 1-2 on the season after giving up 2 runs without recording an out. The game featured two rain delays of about an hour a piece, before the game was finally finished out. Offensively, the Nittany Lions were led by C Bobby Jacobs, who finished 3-4 with 3 RBI. C Ben Heath was also 2-3 with 3 RBI. The Gophers were led by DH Matt Nohelty, who finished 3-5 with 2 RBI. 2B Derek McCallum was hot as usual, finishing 2-4 with 3 RBI, but it was not quite enough for the Gophers. With the win, Penn State finishes the season 25-26 (8-16). With the loss, the Gophers finish in second place in the Big Ten behind Ohio State at 35-15 (17-6).
