NORTHWESTERN 2
INDIANA 5 (Game 2)

Hoosier's hurler Matt Bashore gets the win and improves to 5-4 on the year after giving up 2 runs on 11 hits and 10 strikeouts after a 8 inning performance. Wildcat reliever David Jensen drops to 2-3 after giving up 3 runs in just one inning of work. Offensively Indiana SS Jake Dunning led the way going 2-4 with 2 RBI. CF Evan Crawford, and DH Alex Dickerson also collected two hits on the night. C Josh Phegley also collected his 14th HR of the year, and finished 1-3 with 2 RBI. Northwestern was led offensively by 2B Trevor Stevens who went 3-5 on the night. LF Tony Vercelli was also 2-4 with 1 2B and a run scored. With the win the Hoosiers improve to 24-24 overall and 13-6 in conference. With the loss Northwestern drops to 12-33 and 3-15 in the Big Ten.


OHIO STATE 10
ILLINOIS 7

Buckeye reliever Drew Rucinsky recieves the win in relief and moves to 3-2 on the year after giving up 3 runs in 3.1 innings pitched. Illinois reliever Lee Zerrusen drops to 2-1 on the year after giving up 4 runs on 7 hits in 3 innings pitched. Offensively the Buckeyes were led by 3B Justin Miller who was 4-5 with 1 HR and 3 RBI. SS Tyler Engle was also 3-4 with 1 RBI, and DH Ryan Dew was 3-5 with 3 runs scored. Illinois was led by LF Casey McMurray who was 3-5 with 1 HR and 3 RBI. CF Joe Bonnadonna also went 2-2 with 1 run and 1 RBI. With the win, the Buckeyes improve to 35-14 overall, and 14-6 in the Big Ten, while Illinois falls to second place in the Big Ten at 15-5, and 32-15 overall.
